Apr
The April Global Communion Service was a moment of divine unveiling as Rev. Dr. Chris Oyakhilome (DSc, DSc, DD) declared April as “The Month of Prophecy.” Believers across the world connected in faith to receive God’s word for the season, stepping into a time marked by inspired utterance, spiritual boldness, and supernatural manifestation.
Teaching from 1 Corinthians 14, he emphasized the importance of love (Agape) as the foundation for all spiritual expressions, while encouraging believers to desire spiritual gifts—especially prophecy earnestly. He explained that while speaking in tongues edifies the individual, prophecy edifies the Church, making it essential for the growth and strengthening of the body of Christ.
Drawing from 1 Corinthians 12:31 and Acts 2:1–18, he urged believers to covet the best gifts—those that edify the Church—and declared that this month will be characterized by prophecy in action. Believers will prophesy, receive prophetic words, and witness their manifestation through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Expounding on Hebrews 11:3, he taught that the worlds were framed by the spoken word (Rhema) of God. In the same way, believers are empowered to frame their lives, shape their future, and call into existence realities that may not yet be visible by speaking God’s Word in faith.
The service concluded with a strong charge to use the authority in the Name of Jesus Christ to effect change. Believers were encouraged to declare God’s Word actively, directing the course of their lives and circumstances. Indeed, April is a season where the impossible becomes possible through the power of prophecy.
