Hello kids! The Bible contains the Word of God. It tells us about who God is and teaches us God’s plans for us. The Bible has several books. These books are written by different men who walked with God. Do you know that the Bible has 66 books, which are divided into the Old Testament and the New Testament? • The Old Testament has 39 books and 929 chapters.
• The New Testaments has 27 books and 260 chapters.
• The Bible has a total of 66 books and 1189 chapters.
• Moses wrote the first five books of the Bible- Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy.
• There are five Poetry books in the Bible– Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes and Song of Solomon.
• There are two Books in the New Testament of the Bible that have the same number of chapters- Matthew and the book of Acts. They both have 28 chapters!
• Did you know that Psalm 107 has 4 verses that are exactly the same? They are – verses 8, 15, 21, and 31- “Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men!”.
• The book of Psalms is the longest book in the Bible.
• The book of 2 John is the shortest book in the Bible.
