Romans 6:3-4, the Bible says “Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”
Baptism is an answer of a conscience to God. It’s a testimony of your faith in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. When the Minister of God dips you into that water, you are likened unto His death and unto His burial; so he dips you in so you are buried with Him by baptism into death and then when he brings you out of the water, he says “…like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father…” so you now walk in newness of life; so water baptism is significant.
